Challenging your problem-solving skills to accept failure

The goal of this Blog is to share our experience regarding collecting donation for two weeks for the Edhi foundation
But firstly, let me tell you shorty about who was Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi and what is exactly Edhi Foundation

Abdul Sattar Edhi was a Pakistani humanitarian, philanthropist, and ascetic who founded the Edhi Foundation, which runs the world’s largest volunteer ambulance network, along with various homeless shelters, animal shelters, rehabilitation centers, and orphanages across Pakistan

Edhi Foundation is the single best foundation across Pakistan and one of the best social welfare service providers across the world running on a non-commercial, non-political, and non-communal basis, serving round-the-clock without any discrimination of color, class, and creed is enjoying exclusive credentials in the shape of awards and shields conferred upon Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi and Mrs. Bilquis Edhi by governmental and non-governmental organizations on the national and international level for rendering their exemplary services to humanity in multidimensional fields.

Our group comprises 7 members; Faiza Naeem, Asia Shehzadi, Dure Najoom, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Ali Hamza, Mesum Abbas, and Muhammad Saad Sultan. We organized a Zoom meeting to make strategies and discuss the best solution that how can we maximize our fund's collection.

Our Experience:
For most of us, it’s kind of our first ever experience in life, and we enjoyed it a lot because it’s for a noble cause, and we all are happy to be a part of that noble cause, although it’s not the same time as before due to pandemic, we enjoyed the moments that we contributed for this noble and social project.

How we collect
yes, we collect individually because we are not from the same place, and due to pandemics, it’s not possible and feasible to do so. We decided to start the task individually and support each other throughout the time. We use social media platforms and our surrounding community for approach.
Yeah, it different for us due to pandemics. We never thought our first collection would be done in such a situation.

Challenges
The first challenge is pandemic. Our universities are closed. We cannot collect funds physically, so we start it by converting it into a social media platform. So, we start our campaign by making a poster for the Edhi donation collection and start spreading it.

Then in social media, we do not get a response to overcome this. We send a personalized message to our family, neighbors, and friends.
In this way, we get maximum response.

After social media, we use our physical platform our community to approach

Then the last challenge is that we don’t have any authorized letter for this. We asked the administration to issued us, and in between times we used our student cards.

Accepting Failure
Yes, this experience that us well that everything does not know flow according to your well but all you can do is just keep moving and trying your best. It’s okay to accept reality, but it is not okay to run from the circumstances because failure is just part of learning; it taught you a lesson.
